Leading the Way in Co-operative Housing

CDS is a charitable community benefit society established in 1975 to support the development of housing co-ops. Today, we own and manage homes across the South East of England, staying true to our mission to provide, support, and promote co-op and community-led housing.

As a provider, we own 750 social rented homes and 300 leasehold properties in London and the home counties.

As a supporter, we are the largest co-op service agency in the South East, supporting 30 co-ops and 1,800 homes with landlord and business services to help them thrive.

As a promoter, we invest surpluses into tools and infrastructure to make community-led housing a mainstream solution, enabling more homes to be built faster and more easily.

We value our co-operative roots and remain committed to co-operation as a powerful business model and valuable skill.
